Can we get sunlight from sun after sunset?

Of course, it would be possible. But why we need sunlight after sunset? To keep uninterrupted receiving solar energy even at night.

Just imagine, how beneficial it would be, if solar panels at rooftops of residential, commercial buildings and solar power plants getting solar energy after sunset.

But who’s brilliant idea it is and where it originated?

It is Reflect Orbital, American startup whose founder name is Ben Novak.

According to them, "sunlight on demand" would be transported back to earth after sunset so that essential power plants and others could get solar energy from satellites.

Now the question arises how sunlight could be reflected back to earth?

After equipping satellites with 54-meter-diameter mirror from an altitude of 625 kilometers that would assist for reflecting direct light from sunlight back to earth. To achieve this, they would conduct a test for launching a satellite named Earendil-1 whose diameter would be 18 meters.

There would be 4,000 orbiting satellites into space by 2030 and numbers could reach 250,000.

But one important side, reflected sunlight wouldn't be much stronger and would turned out to be 15,000 times weaker. The company says that around 3,000 satellites would function as mirrors to transport daylight at least 20 percent.

But there would be disadvantages from this reflected sunlight back to earth according to scientists and observers, there would be brightness into the sky at night and ecosystem could be disrupted and affects animals.
