Starlink will give relief organizations access to Gaza

Elon Musk announced SpaceX's Starlink will support communication links in Gaza with international aid organizations, prompting Israel's communication minister to declare opposition.

Elon Musk clarified on social media that ground link authority in Gaza is unclear, but no terminal has requested a connection in the area.

On Saturday, a telephone and internet blackout in Gaza Strip caused widespread isolation, making calls to loved ones, ambulances, or colleagues nearly impossible due to Israel's ongoing air and ground assault.

International humanitarian organizations have criticized a recent blackout that has exacerbated a dire humanitarian crisis by obstructing life-saving operations and preventing contact with their ground staff.

Starlink satellites were crucial in maintaining internet connectivity in some areas post-Russian invasion of Ukraine, despite attempts at jamming.
