Bank of Russia introduced QR code in bank note

According to the press release dated October 16, 2023 issued on the website of Bank of Russia, they have updated their bank notes of 1,000 and 5,000 with QR code code.

We all know that Ruble is the currency in Russia, a legal tender for buying and selling. If scan QR code from your smartphone either of iPhone or Android on aforementioned banknotes take you to enter website of the Bank of Russia.

If you look at glance on reverse side of 1,000 Ruble bank note, could see Syuyumbike Tower on the territory of the Kazan Kremlin, Museum of the History of Statehood of the Tatar People, Ethnography in Ufa, Republic of Tatarstan in Kazan, Syuyumbike Tower on the territory of the Kazan Kremlin, and Museum of Archeology.

Notably, you could also see the stele “66 parallel” (Arctic Circle) in Salekhard and monument “Tale of the Urals” in Chelyabinsk on reverse side of 5,000 Ruble bank note.

The QR code on bank notes of 1,000 and 5,000 rubles would definitely enhance extra security feature in the Russian federation.
