Mercedes-Benz Vision EQXX Concept is a sleek sedan with a 620-mile range
Mercedes-Benz Vision EQXX Concept showed outstanding performance when it embarked upon a test journey traveling on a single electric charge, that itinerary included Germany, Switzerland, Italy, and France and spanning across the construction sites, mountainous structures, and varying temperatures. The distinguishing feature was its capacity to run on a single electric charge without stopping for a charging station and there was 15% percent remaining battery power left sufficient to travel up to 140 km extra.
During the test drive, the electric concept car Mercedes-Benz recorded an average speed of 54 mph (87 km/h), has taken low average energy consumption of 8.7 kWh per 100 km, and the temperature changed from 3 to 18 degrees Celsius. The 621 miles or 1000 km was the total distance that was recorded during the test drive.
But the testing of the electric car battery has not ended here and the manufacturer of the Mercedes-Benz Vision EQXX Concept will be required to get the certification for approval from the US Environmental Protection Agency and the European Passenger Car Test Procedure (WLTP) to qualify.
The main challenge before the Mercedes-Benz gets approval would be that certified agents usually don't take into account the achievements recorded during ascents, descents, and the weather conditions for issuing certificates to car manufacturers but overall the performance of the electric car battery and other notable features achieved during the test drive can bring Mercedes-Benz to one of the competitors to the rival car manufacturers of Porsche Taycan, Audi E-Tron GT, and Tesla Roadster.
