Constructing a base in moon caves would be China’s next Space mission

There is always been competition between two rival powerful countries China and United States in every field.

This time when NASA announces that it is considering postponing its planned Artemis mission for an indefinite period that would have allowed sending an astronaut to the moon, China takes this opportunity and planned to construct a lunar research station on the surface of the moon near future.

In order to complete the Chang'e-8 mission before an anticipated timeline, they decided to accomplish it by the year 2027 instead of 2035. To expedite the construction of the lunar base, China has already begun working on an autonomous mobile research station that could cover a distance of 1,000 kilometers (km) on the surface of the moon.

Advance technologies like 3D printing that could be used from available moon materials for the development and providing life support to the colony and also has the future intention to install a nuclear plant to get the alternative energy source.

Contrary to NASA's future plans to construct a lunar orbital space station under the Artemis mission which was put off, for the time being, China would create base in moon cave instead of sending an astronaut to the moon's surface.

The main purpose behind constructing base in cave would be to escape the attack from meteorites and radiation. But experts have warned that if there would be any volcanic eruption from the moon’s volcano, the establishment of a base in a cave might not safe and could be destroyed.
